Hello, I know I've made a guide about scams before but I plan to explain everything you need to know in this guide. First off let's go over the definition of a scam. The official definition of a scam is: a dishonest scheme; a fraud. Scams are generally everywhere from real life, to a virtual game like cubic castles. People scam for many reasons, some scam for the items and greed while others scam for the adrenaline rush. The term for a person who scams constantly is kleptomania people with this condition have the irresistible urge to steal. Even though it is a compulsive act it's just NOT right! Next let me talk about how to identify a scammer. Most people who are trying to scam you are urgent they don't want to make friends with you they are only their for the prize. So if you meet someone constantly asking to borrow items or have permissions to your realm or asking for personal information such as pButtwords, emails, card numbers, etc. Now how do you avoid being scammed? Let me explain, here are a few ways to prevent being scammed. Never set your permissions to your realms "me and my friends" because who says you won't accidentally accept a friend request in you realm? My suggestion is keep your permissions at either "me only" or "trusted only". Another way is always, I repeat ALWAYS double check your trades and take your time! Some scammers may offer in a cash register let's say, 50,000 cubits for your angel wings. This would excite you and make you urgent to accept but as soon as you press accept they changed their offer to 50 cubits. So always take your time and over look your trades. Always use a cash register to trade! If someone says they don't own one, don't buy their item. Cash registers make trades safer and easier to avoid being scammed so never use a piggy bank to buy an item Never I will say this again NEVER give out your personal information such as pButtwords, emails, card numbers, etc. Also never download or open a link given to you unless you can trust it 100% Never give permissions to your "friends" unless you have known them for a while and you can't trust them 100%, sometimes a player may just become your friend and bond with you in return for future trust. I know it's sad but it's true so be careful. Completely ignore people asking for personal information or clearly state "sorry I do not wish to give out my personal information". If they really are your friend they will understand!
Avoiding scams is common sense, don't trust people you don't know! Would you give a stranger walking down your street your house keys? I will be updating this thread as more information comes to mind. If you have any questions feel free to contact me in game or on the forums through a message or post them here I will do my best to answer them.
